The Bitch Is Back

This must be worse than any recurring nightmare: The way his directorial debut will haunt Fincher forever. "I had to work on it for two years, got fired off it three times and I had to fight for every single thing. No one hated it more than me; to this day, no one hates it more than me." And I am pretty certain, no one ever will...

So it's obviously easier for some of us to find a measure of enjoyment in the movie, and now Cinephilia and Beyond has just posted a massive article on the hellish mess that was Alien³ — and that definitively is wildly enjoyable, packed with set photos, interview snippets, creatures, alien and domestic, and open wounds (so, uhm, these could probably retraumatize Fincher all over again).

Thanks, Gould, for dropping this in the inbox.

  1. Can't help but feel, while looking at the photos, that the Alien creature is a reflection of David's tormented soul while trying to make this film.
